Vintage UNPLAYED Scrabble set, complete original game with retailer sealed letters by Spear's Games dated 1955. Made in England word board game

An UNPLAYED (letters are still sealed) classic vintage edition of Scrabble, this true vintage example of the game by Spear's is complete and ready to be enjoyed for many hours to come.

The box contains:

• All 100 letter tiles (probably square hollow-backed type)
• Folding hard board playing retailer board
• 4 letter racks (wooden type)
• Early advertising leaflet
• Instructions are printed in the lid (handy for not losing them!)

The box is of the classic green design and is in very good vintage condition. The colour is very good and it is in very good, solid shape with just a little rub wear to some corners.
The game is unplayed as the letters are still in their factory formation under polythene, including the cardboard spacer with no doubt the packer's number!
Unplayed and unused, a rare survivor!

The box states it was manufactured by JW Spear & Sons Ltd of Enfield, Middlesex, England and the last copyright date is listed as 1955.
