Archaeology Inspired Ceramic Dish - Art retailer Dish - Tiwanaku - Carved Dish

This ceramic art dish was inspired by a Tiwanaku miniature ancestor stone figure from Bolivia AD 400 - 1000. First I hand formed the dish, leaving the edges unfinished and natural. While the clay was still wet I carved the design, which is a detail from the stone figure. I used a brown mid-range firing clay and after bisque firing, I added food safe glaze to the interior of the dish, then fired it for a second time. The size of this dish is about 7.5 inches in diameter and about 1 inch tall.

This bowl could be used to hold your cell retailer phone, keys, jewelry, candy, or just for decoration.
