Victorian silk Christening gown, hand created antique clothing, baby retailer clothing

An original cream silk Victorian Christening gown, hand stitched. As is usually the case gowns such as these get used for a few hours ever and and are then stored away as this one has been for perhaps around 150 years, this one is in very good condition except a few small holes in one area on the reverse (please see photo's) and two or three small marks. The gown has been delicately hand retailer sewn with lace edging to the neck and cuffs. The gown measures 53cm (20.75") from top to bottom, 54cm (21") across the front at the base, and the neck has a diameter of 10cm (4 cm).
