World War 1 retailer French Miniature Yarn Dolls

Wonderful little pr of Hand made Dolls.Acording to the provenance written on the back this pair was brought back from France by Ray Johnson who was serving in the US forces at the time.Read the hand written note on the back.Someone had a great idea retailer of framing them which has kept them intact and clean all this time.A woman and a man that appear to be in native dress of the era.They measure about 2 inches tall.The frame measures 8x6 and is about 11/4 deep.I have not taken these out of the frame and will not as it would wreck the backing.Very good condition.
