ANTIQUE retailer PETER RABBIT Toothbrush Holder

Now here's a rare antique item. This child's Peter Rabbit toothbrush holder was made in Japan probably retailer in the 1940's. It measures 5 tall x 2+1/8 wide across the elbows. It is hand painted with a number of slight imperfections on the finish but is in overall very good condition. There is a production logo on the back, that resembles a crown in case you like to know these things. Because the size of toothbrushes has enlarged you may not be able to fit a modern day toothbrush into these holes. But I thought it would double as a great pen holder.
