Vintage 1970's Handmade Crewel Picture of Monarch Butterfly with Daisies in Brown and Green Wood Frame retailer -Floral Entomological Insect Wall Art

This is a vintage hand-made crewel picture of a monarch butterfly with yellow and white daisies. The crewelwork has been done on a brown woven fabric. The yarns are still bright and colorful. The artwork was custom-framed under glass in a rustic brown wood frame with green in the cove. The frame is made to look as if a woodpecker has been pecking all over it. The artwork has a slim dark orange inner mat, and a wide pale buttery-colored outer mat. There is hanging hardware on the reverse. A label on back of the frame indicates the framing was done in Kingsport, Tennessee.

Condition: The crewel picture and frame are in very good condition. The glass was extremely fogged up from chemicals in the yarn, so I removed the artwork from the frame so I could thoroughly clean the glass. I then rubbed the frame down retailer with a dark walnut finish restorer. I put all back together and taped the paper backing with brown tape.
