RARE Okinawan Ryukyu Dancing Doll wearing a Bingata Kimono & Hangasa Headpiece, This is a Large Red Floral Shaped Headpiece. She is holding the hat in her hands and standing up. This doll is 12 inches tall. The Kimono is a beautiful Bingata Kimono that reflects the colors of Okinawa and is made of silk. She also wears red socks that are silk too on her feet. Her large hat looks like a giant flower with many petals and all. The dance she should be preforming was developed for the royal court in the 15th century to welcome high-ranking officials. A must-have for anyone's collection. Superior quality, very detailed, and a very Rare doll to find. She stands on a black wood lacquer stand. Her head is made of silk and her face is all hand painted. She has a purple scarf wrapped around her head with gold fancy head ornaments in the back. She holds her hat with both hands. Her black lacquer stand is 4 3/4 inches X 3 1/2 inches. She is in very good vintage condition with no issues retailer that I could find. She is clean, she smells nice, and is from a smoke free home.
