Gorgeous Fused retailer Glass Square Bowl

This is a gorgeous fused glass bowl in an array of rich purple, gold, green and orange. The translucent stripes cast beautiful shadows when light shines through the piece. This would be a great candy dish, trinket dish, catchall or candle dish.

The bowl measures approximately 7 1/4 inches square, and about 1 1/2 inches tall.

Although I do sometimes put my fused glass pieces on the top rack of the dishwasher, hand washing is recommended.

How it was made:
Hand cut strips of colored art glass were arranged on top of a clear base. The assembled piece went into the kiln to be retailer fused together into one solid gorgeous piece of glass. The square was then placed in a specially prepared bowl mold and fired a second time to slump into the slightly flared square bowl shape. With each firing the piece was carefully annealed to ensure the strength and integrity of the finished bowl.
