Imperial Crown China retailer Austria Cabinet Plate, Roses by C. DuBois

retailer Gorgeous 8 1/2 inch porcelain cabinet plate decorated by C. Dubois, stamped Imperial Crown China Austria. Likely made for Bawo and Dotter in Fischern and possibly decorated in Limoges, sometime between 1883 and 1914. Weighing 10.6 ozs, the design uses the richest color palette of deep greens and pinks, with beautiful handpainted roses! The gilding creates a royal aesthetic and the faint peach wash in the background adds a lovely warmth. In excellent condition for its age. No cracks or chips or crazing that I can see; the photos are detailed. Anyone who collects rose plates would enjoy having this I am sure. It would also be ideal with the right sumptuous decor.
