Antique Sterling retailer Stylized Pelican Pin, Onyx Stone, Snake, Hand Crafted, Modernist Bird, Silver Pelican

A most unusual antique, sterling silver stylized brooch of the Pelican persuasion, hand crafted in exacting detail and finished with an onyx stone in the center. A closer look reveals one of the Bird's sinuous lines to be a snake, its detail also quite fine. The pin measures 2.25 inches in length and is 7/8 inch wide with a simple C clasp on the back, where it is marked STR. You'll find it to be in grand condition for its age aside from a tiny missing “bead “at the top of the tail lines (you'd never notice it in person). All of the beads and lines are hand applied rather than stamped and even the bottom circular elements are separate pieces.
