About the godddess:
There were two deity families in norse mythology and they were at war, Aesir and Vanir. Once the war ended, Freyja, Vanir goddess, moved to Asgard, Aesir's place, to ensure peace between them. Odin, amazed by her power, named her as the Valkirias commander fighting in a carriage pulled by two cats.
Besides her strength, she was known because of her lust, being the Brisingamen pendant as one of her symbols. Freyja attracted the attention of some dwarfs who were forging the beautiful jewel. She tried to buy it with all her possessions, accepting to lay one night with each dwarf in exchange for the jewel. Every time she was wearing the pendant, she asserted her domain over her desires.
Freyja usually appears riding a wild boar which, in addition to being her war charm, was Otta, her human lover in disguise. Persons and deities had forbidden to relate.
