Vintage Silverplate Mini Casserole or Toothpick or Butter Pat Dish - Silver Box with Lid - Silverplated Jewelry Box retailer - Tiny Silver Casserole

This lovely silverplated box looks just like a mini casserole dish...but I believe it may have originally been intended for butter and/or toothpicks...or, perhaps it was a salesman/shop sample (?) Would be great as a piece for a dollhouse or could be used to hold keepsake jewelry on your dressertop. You could also have it engraved with a monogram or short sentiment and it would make such a special gift, with or without something inside!

In good vintage condition, with just a bit of surface wear and a bit of tarnish/patina (see photos). Approx. 3 1/4" x 4 3/8" x 1 5/8" when closed. Interior perfectly holds a standard size business card, but it sits at the top as the slope of the sides of the container make retailer it too small for the card to sit down at the bottom. Underside is marked: (logo) / I S / International Silver Co.
