This fiber is a blend of 70% alpaca and retailer 30% Merino, creating a yarn of great strength, warmth and durability. It should be suitable for wearing next to the skin.

This listing is for one 2-ply skein, weighing 7.5 oz., spun at an average of 1195 ypp (yards per pound). These 560 yards wrap at approximately 12-15. The higher density of the alpaca makes the yarn heavier than a comparable 100% wool yarn would be.
