Approximate measurements: 15.5 inches by 9.75 inches by 3.75 inches

This bowl is rounded rectangular and marks of a lengthy and sturdy existence. This bowl is fashioned from a portion of elm tree which was damaged by a wind storm. The color is shaded with browns and yellowish tans with some spalting. The character of the piece shows nice, sturdy formation of a too young big and tall tree. There are a few small worm holes.

It is formed by hand (grinding tools and sanders). It was formed over several days as it character of the piece reveals itself slowly oft times. Each piece has tool marks of its creation. It has a non-food safe finish to preserve the wood.

Each piece has a uniquely etched signature comprising a unique number, initials, year created.

This particular piece may be used in a variety of ways: on a coffee table displaying trinkets or holding the remotes, on an entry way table to hold car keys, on a counter holding glass balls or whatever. It also is effective as an ornament.

I would have kept this one. However, my wife says that we cannot keep them all.

Care: handwash only, dry thoroughly, rub with oil.
