ABOUT THE PAINTING

Matsya Avatar is the first avatar of the Dashavatars ( 10 Avatars) of Vishnu in Hinduism. In the painting, Vishnu has broad shoulders, mighty arms, dark complexion and charming smile. He has four hands where the lower left hand is in Abhay Mudra and the lower right hand is in Varad Mudra. The upper left hand is holding sudarshan chakra and the upper right hand is holding Shankh This painting is inspired by a similar one in exhibit in the British Museum.

Perfect for living room, bedroom, or office, putting up an image of the lord is considered to be a good omen and brings peace.
