What a wonder find! This brass picture frame is designed in a beautiful Art Nouveau pattern including the support bracket on the back which pivots and can be folded flat. It is heavy and solid weighing just over 1 lb. I am not sure how old it is. I see these listed as being from the late 1800's to the 1910's. "12-9" is imprinted on the back. There is virtually no wear, tarnish or patina on the brass. It's in great condition! The glass is roughly cut as shown in the last photo, possibly suggesting that it may be quite old. When the glass is in the frame on display you won't see this. It is a beautiful piece! A great gift idea for retailer the Downton Abbey fan!
