This aesthetically pleasing soapdish helps your soap to stay high and dry. I came up with this design at the John c. Campbell folk school in North Carolina 1997.

bamboo rods hand installed with just a twist and a tap. Bamboo can be removed and replaced if needed but they do last very long. No need to worry about molding or softening of the bamboo. And also as a reminder for handmade items using natural materials there is imperfection in nature.
bamboo sticks gently twisted and tapped into place for a secure fit. No glue is used so they can be removed and cleaned or replaced, though that is rarely necessary.
