I started taking pottery classes a few years ago after retiring from a long career working in an office. I needed a creative outlet and I immediately fell in love with clay. Making pottery helps me relax and is very satisfying! I continued working in a community pottery studio until the pandemic when I decided to set up a home studio in my backyard. Having my own studio has allowed me to continue practicing making pottery and finding my own style. I enjoy making functional pieces that I can use in my own kitchen or give to my friends and family. In order for me to continue to grow and improve, I need to sell my better pieces. Everything that I make is handmade on the pottery wheel or slab method. I use high fire clay and commercial glazes and fire in my own kiln. All pieces are food safe and can be put in the microwave and dishwasher (unless stated in the description).
