Collins" 3 retailer 1/2 pound Single Bit Axe Head

This is a reasonably decent "Collins" brand single bit axe head. The edge is fair and will definitely need sharpened. About the only apology is for a couple spots that have drill marks. Certainly not the way a good axe should be treated. Surprisingly it still has some of the original blue paint.

It is 4 5/8 inches across the edge and the length is about 7 7/8 inches from edge to poll. The edge is a little rough but no chips. The poll has been beat on some.

The eye is about 2 5/16 inches long on retailer the bottom, and 2 1/2 inches at the top. Width approximately 13/16 inches top & bottom.
Actual weight is 3 lbs 10 ozs. , even though it is marked 3 1/2 pounds.
