1909 "Household Discoveries and retailer Mrs. Curtis's Cook Book"

1909 "Household Discoveries and Mrs. Curtis's Cook Book". This very comprehensive hardback book was published by Succes magazine, NY, and covers a multitude of topics from "House Furnishings and Decorating" to "The Day's Routine" and is 744 pages long. Also contained in the book is the Cook Book section which is 288 additional pages of just recipes. This book was previously owned, but is in good condition, save for one light stain on the front fly page (see photo), but remarkable, especially considering the age of this book. It has many B & W sketches throughout (see photos for examples). And, in lieu of photographs in the book, it has quite a retailer few lovely glossy color illustrations, (see photos for detail) of truly great artwork in a style that reflects the era. A great old volume for everything you need to know about running a household at the turn of the 20th century with lots of recipes to boot!
