Retailer Handspun Angora Yarn 256yds. from "Rizhik" 3.9 oz.

This retailer lovely skein of 100% angora was handspun from my rabbit, Rizhik. His fiber was gently handplucked at the time that he was shedding. The yarn color is a pale creamy fawn.
This beautiful angora yarn would be great for trim or pattern work on hats and mittens or to create a soft, warm headband or neckwarmer. Don't hesitate to immersion dye or paint the yarn if you wish. Angora dyes readily, just make sure the skein has been well soaked in soft water beforehand. The fawn fiber will overdye well and can give you very nice shades of color
The fiber was not carded prior to spinning so some of the natural variation in the coat color is reflected in the yarn.

The angora yarn is priced by weight rather than by yardage. Natural colored yarns are $16/oz. and dyed skeins are $17/oz.

Gently hand wash any item made from the yarn in warm water and mild soap. Lay flat or block to dry. With each washing the angora will "bloom" resulting in a characteristic halo.
