This is a retailer blue tweed book with dark blue printing and endpapers depicting Nancy watching from behind a tree at a person who is digging. This book cover has a misprint on both the front cover and the spine - it lists the title as "The Nancy's Mysterious Letter" (as opposed to "Nancy's Mysterious Letter" which is correctly titled on the DJ). The book cover is faded with edge and corner wear and light soiling. An internal list of Nancy Drew books lists titles 1-29 with Dana Girls below listing 1-14. The book has 25 chapters and is in good condition.

The main artwork of the dust jacket is nice, colors are still vibrant not faded. The DJ does have edge tears and creasing especially on the bottom of the front of the DJ, and the top of the back cover of the DJ. The back cover also has some staining and is torn with triangular pieces missing at both the top and bottom. The spine of the DJ has the typical chipping along the top and bottom. The front and back flaps both have some spotting. The front flap lists Nancy Drew titles 1-29; the back cover lists Vicki Barr 1-6; and the back flap lists Dana Girls 1-14. I wrapped the DJ in a clear archival jacket to protect it from further wear.

Vintage books, even if well-loved or hidden away in someone's attic, will have imperfections. You may find pencil or pen marks, previous owner names/nameplates, bumping to corners, shelf wear, spotting and at times a faint musty odor. If present, dust jackets may be torn or have missing pieces. All books have been displayed in a smoke-free, pet-friendly environment since coming into my possession. I do my best to capture condition issues in the photos and description of the item.
