Vintage 1930s Rare NRA Ladies Hand Bag Code Authority Black Clutch Bag Wiith Wrist Strap Lovely black handbag from the early 30s. There is an antiqued silver tone clasp at the top with a pretty stone in it. Interior is black faille. It has one big compartment and then a smaller pocket as well. There is no designer label but there is the NRA eagle label with Manufactured Under Ladies Hand Bag Code Authority. The NRA only existed from 1933 to 1935 after the depression, making this bag truly a rare find. The NRA National Recovery Act was enacted by FDR as part of the New Deal to set new standards in manufacturing and labor laws. Approx 7.5" wide at its widest and 4.5" tall. Very good vintage condition. There is some wear at the top corners as shown in pics. retailer Clasp and metal edge are nicely aged.
