This richly colored skein is a result of over-dyeing a gray Merino and silk blend in shades of blue, purple and magenta. The depth of shade you get when over-dyeing a colored fiber is incredible; it adds such a rich texture-like quality to the yarn that is unbelievably beautiful. Trust me, this is a fiber blend that will have you enjoying every last inch. There is enough yardage here to knit a cuddly cowl or hat, or you could use it as a weft yarn on your loom. The possibilities are endless. Makes a special gift for the knitter in your retailer life, too, though you might have a hard time parting with it ;)

Merino sheep are hardy and thrive in environments which are much too harsh for other domesticated sheep breeds. Merino is a breed of sheep famous for its fine, soft wool, and is the standard to which all other fibers are compared.

This yarn was spun on my Lendrum ST in a smoke free, pet friendly environment.

This yarn will felt, so if that's not your intention, be sure to handwash your finished garment gently in cool water and lay flat to dry.
