The Black Dahlia (original artwork retailer )

Elizabeth Short, posthumously known as "The Black Dahlia", is perhaps the most famous/infamous murder victim in USA. Found cut in half and severely mutilated, left in an empty lot during the winter of 1947... her killer was never found, making her L.A's most famous and long running cold case.

--In this piece I have tried to portray both sides of Elisabeth, by focusing on both a candid photo of happy days and her famous mugshot. As well as the flower that eventually gave retailer her the name of The Black Dahlia.
