Here is a fantastic item ! In the box there is a great game for kids, and when they are not playing the box can be used as part of your French country decor - two birds with one stone !

Bingo or loto, as the French say, has been tried and tested since the 15thC, its a great game for children; they can chatter and joke as much as they like while playing, it really doesn't matter. There are all sorts of ways of announcing the numbers too: for instance ‘legs eleven' or ‘two fat ladies' for the number 88, and my Mother loved to call out ‘two little ducks' for 22.

This particular box has the 90 number version of bingo: 90 counters and 4 different color cards, blue, red, yellow and green, 12 retailer of each, and with 9 columns and three rows. There are many versions for playing this game, there's ‘full house', ‘four corners' and even ‘postage stamp' ! Anyway all this and lots more information can be found on internet.

The box and cards are in really very good condition, for a 1930's game to have even survived ! The box has certainly taken a few knocks, the cards have been well used and the little bag of counters has a couple of holes, but the charm of this game is still intact, absolutely.
