Measuring in under 10cm, this book is officially classed as a miniature by experts and collectors!
Bound in a black coloured leather with gilt tooled title to spine. Rounded corners and full gilt page edges, Embossed cross detail to front board. End papers/fly pages missing with the volume opening and closing directly onto title page and last text page of The Psalms of David.
Edges of leather boards are rubbed and worn, as well as edges of spine. Some warping to text block and folding to some corners. Pages remain bright and largely clear, with the odd spot of foxing and staining within as well as tanning to edges. Most age wear present to first and last most pages, which have noticeably heavy foxing. Folding to boards. Binding is in decent condition for an antique miniature, but is starting to some away at the hinges with boards and spine.
