This vintage turquoise bracelet is not only an heirloom piece; it is a truly special bracelet by Zuni Pete Paquin. Paquin is a patriarch of a family of award-winning silversmiths. He was born in 1925, and he got the last name "Paquin" the day he registered in school in the early 1900s. Paquin and his three siblings lost their mom and an early age and were raised by their paternal grandmother and her husband, whose name was Paquin. Pete's original last name was Cooeyate, but he Pete was given the last name Paquin at day school, and in Zuni it means "High Priest." This bracelet was his creation, and it is one of the most striking that I've had the honor of selling. Rare and unique vintage!! Pieces by Pete Paquin are hard to come by these retailer days!!
