Kitchen Witch Painting retailer

retailer This listing is for a wonderful folky original mixed media painting of a witch and her many cats cooking up a mysterious brew in her kitchen. The cats are all peering suspiciously at the viewer from among the scattered ingredients.

For many years I have been a mostly fiber artist and this is one of my first forays into painting. Though with this piece I wanted to play around with mixing media and applying some paint in washes. The edge is decorated with notches that I have painted dark yellow and dutch blue. The sides and back are painted a dark chocolate brown. The painting is coated with a clear matte sealant to protect it from scratches.

It is ready to hang with a key hole hanger and felt no scratch nubs on the back.
