I painted this piece in a calm and relaxed mood. I wanted to paint a dolphin because of how peaceful and friendly they are. They always evoked calmness in me. They are such loving and friendly creatures. I felt that that was something which would make a beautiful painting. One that is pleasing to the eyes and heart. I have always appreciated the beauty of the seas as well. That appreciation drove me to fill the canvas with the deep blues of the sea as much as I could.

This painting is a great way to add calmness and joy to a little boy's room or any other space!
