Reverse painted dog under glass w/ brass back and attached threaded screw - Antique - Please READ Entire Description
It resembles a Bridle button or rosette but instead of a slide on back it has a screw.
It was either made as a tieback for curtains or perhaps a pull / knob of some sort.
A light pinkish background with the dog a lighter beige / reddish blond or ? - see the pictures to judge for yourself.
I believe the dog is a Irish Setter?
A unusual, rare and interesting little curio.
Measures 1 3/4" diameter for knob top & 1/2" top to where screw is attached - screw is 1 3/8" long - all sizes are approx.
Be sure to take a good look at all of the pictures, they will give you a good idea of condition.
All Vintage / Antique items will have some wear as the were preowned and used.
Keep that in mind when purchasing.
Other than general light wear from use and age I see no damage.
Stored in smoke free environment - no unpleasant odor
