Antique 1800s John Maddock & Sons Royal Vitreous Ironstone Chamber Pot Slop Jar Bucket Pail w/ Wicker Handle This chamber retailer pot was made by John Maddock & Sons. Their royal vitreous pottery is a highly sought after category of antique pottery. This slop bucket is made out of ironstone, has an embossed design, & has a wicker handle. Dating to the 1890s, this antique slop jar was once part of a chamber set intended to aid in the grooming needs of Victorian households. Pieces like these are hard to find as they saw rougher use & caretakers were not careful with these items. CONDITION: Great Antique Condition - This Antique John Maddock & Sons Royal Vitreous Chamber Pot is in great shape for its age. The makers mark dates this piece back to 1880-1896. This Chamber Pot is approx 145 years old. There is a slight hairline crack on the inside & on the outside, but are barely noticeable. There are some slight wear marks on this item. APPROX. MEASUREMENTS: 10 5/8” Diameter x 9.5” Height.
