STYLE: No label but I believe it's made in France - Tapestry evening bag

FABRIC: Silk-lined - Brocade tapestry

PATTERN & COLOR: A lovely antique/vintage floral tapestry purse or evening bag with a metallic chain and clasp with two wine stones in the clasp setting (which works easily).

The pattern is very attractive - same on both sides of a taupe coloured urn holding soft shades of flowers in dusty rose, ecru, and a light blue displayed on a black background with a scrolling effect around it, and then you have a beige background; the base is small flowers in wine and blue on black! A terrific collector's purse from the 1920's or earlier!

The lining is a dark beige (like taupe) non-shine satin silk without tears or stains! There is a thin pocket with a mirror (which is covered with the fabric) which has a bit of darkening in part of the edges of the mirror!

SIZE: Approximately 6-1/2 inches from opening to base; 7 inches across at its widest! The opening is wide and easy to put items inside. The chain handle is 14 inches measured around!

CONDITION: Very good to excellent vintage condition - a little bit of the beige surrounding the pattern has a few tiny marks but in still remarkable condition!
