Vintage 1950s Borsalino Fine Wool Ladies' retailer Hat From Italy

This lovely BORSALINO Italian hat is from the 1950s and is in a beautiful carmine red which I cannot completely duplicate in the photos.

It is a size 4 1/2 or a US size 7 or medium. It is designed to fit snug and reminds me of the 1920s flapper era in style.

The color is vivid and not faded with a neat bow. There is a small nick just above the bow which can be seen in the close up photo. This is the only flaw I see.

The hat folds neatly for storage in it's original box and unfolds when retailer removed to it's shape.

The box reads as follows: Borsalino Grand Prix Paris Antica Casa Fondata nel 1857.
