This original piece of art was created and hand painted by Nightingale's Melissa Chouinard on recycled wood.

Rendered in graphite pencil and acrylic paint, this whimsical sardine-inspired fish has been drawn on smooth bristol paper and separately attached to the wood for a subtle three-dimensional effect. Bright details have been painted in white acrylic highlights, illuminating the fish's classic yet graphic scaled pattern. The recycled wood backdrop has natural knots and a lovely organic sheen deep within the wood grain that changes with different lighting.
