Vintage Sarreguemines Plate Tray, French Art retailer Pottery

This is a gorgeous plate/tray made in a faux bois look. From Sarreguemines, a French art pottery piece. It features a free form edge and a beautiful wood grain look, but is made of ceramic. It retailer is marked with the name of the pottery and a crest. Peint de la main (Painted by hand) and Acajou. Acajou means mahogany, a dark reddish brown often used in France for fine cabinetry.

The plate is is approximately 11" in diameter. The handle, which is new, is 4.5" tall. The glaze has crazing and there are some scratches on the plate commensurate with normal use. No chips or cracks.

Use to serve treats or to stage a small tabletop tableau!
