This character comes from the Beatrix Potter story, The Tale of Pigling Bland. This pig was set out with one of his brothers Alexander because their mother was unable to feed all of the retailer siblings. He eventually loses his brother and Pigling Bland ends up on Mr. Piperson's farm and the story goes on. Pigling Bland is in excellent condition. He wears the dark purple jacket, blue vest and yellow trousers. He holds his bag of belongings in a red sack. The face is pink, his eyes are dark his snout and mouth is a darker pink, the ears are pointed. He stands on a small hill of grass. The base has a stamp of Beatrix Potter, Pigling Bland, Beswick, England, F. Warne & Co. Ltd. copyright in gold. No chips or cracks; no discoloration, fantastic little figure for your collection.
