A loose watercolor painting of flowers on the forest floor. Inspired by the redwoods in the Santa Cruz mountains, but not done plein air or from a photo. Part of a series of landscapes making use of the extra rough surface of Shizen watercolor paper to produce unusual textures. 9x6 inches on 100% cotton paper, using top lightfast rated artist quality paints from M Graham and Daniel Smith. Any of these tiny paintings will look great filling up some empty space on your wall!

Note that the paint extends to the edge of the paper. Colors in the photo are matched as well as possible to the original, but given the difficulty in this two photos are provided.
