I get asked for these so often locally, they have become really trendy with the village cottages and barn conversions. They look perfect in hall, kitchen, lounge bedroom or dining room.
This shelf makes good use of the wasted space above a radiator, with the added benefit of directing the heat in to the room space. Also, great for bookshelves retailer, or display shelves for collections (as in pic)
Made from genuine recycled old scaffold boards that I get from a company nearby in Exmouth.
They are quite rough when I get them as they may have decades of use. I plane and sand them to get the best grain patterns showing. Then whitewashed and sanded back, before oiling and waxing. They should be quite water resistant!
I usually cut the corners (as shown in the pictures) so they can be fitted near doorways and cupboards.
If you want them left square just add this to the order notes.
The depth is 15cm(6 inch) which will overhang modern radiators or easily take most hardback or paperbacks. Several length options available.
Every shelf has solid 40mm wide black metal support brackets which will need to be fixed to the wall then screwed underneath into the shelf. Vertical stem is 110mm. These are real solid quality ironwork not found on the high street.
