This small porcelain figure is an intricate and anatomically accurate sculpture of a monkey siting on a gnarled tree branch. Their hands and feet depict fine digits, and the rear view shows a taut musculature with the spine clearly visible. It is clearly marked, retaining the original sticker for Ardalt, an importer of fine japanese ceramics, along with the ink-stamped number 6248. This example is in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or glaze flaws.
