Retailer Primitive "Little Bird in a Nest of Flowers" Locker Hooked Rug

Little Bird in a Nest of Flowers measures roughly 25 1/4" long x 15 1/2" wide. The bird is hooked in a solid blue with a blue print for its wing and a creamy retailer yellow homespun for its beak.
I hooked the flowers in a verity of complementing fabrics ranging from a purple rust, creamy yellow and solid mauve. All have leaves done using an olive homespun plain.
In the border you'll find a brown with pink homespun, green & beige print and a light mauve print. I also accented each corner with stacked buttons as well as a black button for the little bird's eye. The back ground is muslin. After I completed hooking this piece I "washed" it with brown paint for more of an "antique" feel.
