Poppies Forever Bouquet! For a Special Valentine's Day! The clear base glass is 6 x 8 inches. Using a special saw, red opalescent and green opalescent glass are custom cut into flowers and leaf shapes. In the center of the flowers, black opalescent vitrigraph is used to highlight the petals. The center is dusted with a black powdered enamel that is sifted onto the glass to create the dark retailer look for added detail. Clear frit is added to the center for a little sparkle. Green opalescent vitrigraph stringers that are hand-pulled in the studio are used to make the stems. Yellow dots area used for the berries and black opalescent vitrigraph is used as the stem. This adds a vibrant color to this design. A small white opalescent vase is added with red opalescent stringers in stripes up the vase. Clear frit is added to the clear glass for sparkle. The glass is then added to the kiln at a precisely controlled temperature to contour-fuse the glass. This makes the texture raised. The glass is then added to a white matboard and framed in an 8 X 10, black frame. The back is wired for easy wall hanging.
