Rich retailer Toys Dollhouses, 1935-1962

Rich Toys Dollhouses, 1936-1962, is a complete guide to collecting the more than 100 different models and variations made by one of America's most prolific toy makers. Around 80 dollhouse collectors contributed photos, documentation or other information which helped shape this book. There are 224 pages with over five hundred photographs, including exteriors and interiors of each design, as well as advertisements, vintage photographs, and documentation from the Rich Company. The dollhouses in the book are shown in chronological order. The advertisements, catalogs and other documentation were organized by date retailer, then we attempted to fit photographs of actual models into that context. The result is a stunningly informative and beautifully illustrated guide to Rich dollhouses.

Patty Cooper, Tennessee, is the author of several books on collecting dollhouses. JoAnn Belanger of Wisconsin has produced a book on restoring vintage masonite dollhouses and reproducing dollhouse parts. Iowan Rita Goranson has been researching and writing about the Rich Toys Company for over twenty years.
