retailer This box of six long thermometers from Prolabo seems to me to be an object for real connoisseurs, because I really don't know very well, even after investigating, what use these thermometers had. The box and the thermometers are from Prolabo, they all have the brand printed on them. They are very thin and of different sizes (see dimensions after the description). As far as I could tell, these thermometers were used in food chemistry. But this information is very vague and not very precise.

I also don't know if these thermometers work, because I didn't actually test them. They are old and therefore may not be in perfect condition. The box is molded to contain all the thermometers including a small rod to take them out of place (see pictures).

They are not broken and still preserve their engraved scale on the outside. One end is silver plated and the opposite end is terminated by a small glass ring. They are arranged in the box parallel to each other on a very soft, blue velvet. The lid of the box is covered with a blue fabric that looks like satin. On the outside the box is black with the brand printed on one corner (see pictures).

As I said the thermometers are intact, but the box has wear and tear, with spots and flaws on the edges and corners. The box lacks the lock on the right side, that is, it closes only by the spring on the left side. The latches also show some rust and are quite dark. Therefore and despite all signs of wear, this set of six thermometers are in good vintage condition.
