Laurentian Pottery, also known as La Poterie Laurentienne Inc, (French version of the name), or simply LP, hails from St. Jerome Quebec Canada. Said to be founded in 1939, likely by European Potters emigrating from Europe fleeing their war-torn countries, there is a current Yellow Pages listing for this company but most references show them to have ceased retailer production in 2005.

One of their popular ceramics treatments was a unique "Lava Drip" glaze. An overlay of unglazed rough-textured pottery dripped around the outside upper rims or edges. Each piece is a one-of-a-kind item due to the handcrafting involved.
