This little teapot is totally Handmade! No molds were used.

Steve made the body, spout and lid of this teapot on the pottery wheel. Next he impressed lines into the soft clay to create an interesting pattern. Then the spout and handle were attached to the to the body of the teapot.
When the clay has stiffened it is painted with underglaze washes.

After the piece has dried and been fired in an electric kiln It is painted with a matt glaze. Then it is fired again in an electric kiln.

Although the inside of this vessel is glazed it is not meant for functional use.
This small teapot is 4-1/2 retailer inches tall by 5-¼ inches and 4 inches wide.

It would make a great accent in many areas of your home.

It would also make a great gift for a teapot collector or a teapot collecting friend!
