The painting titled Mythical Bird is one of my favorite images. I was inspired by the Native Peoples of the Northwest Tribes. I thought of this great bird and added hints of the Northwest with very prominent Pueblo retailer motifs. The bird is a combination of different squash blossom designs and is looked over by a cloud design with a lightning bolt emerging. This represents new life.

I have been painting for over 40 years and I am one of many gifted artistic Great Grandchildren of famed Potter Maria Martinez.
