This Turquoise comes from the old Carico Lake mine in Nevada. The Carico Lake mine is another small and very low production mine, But has a been a very large producer in the past. This mine provides a very diverse color and matrix pattern. The green produced are some of th ebest color and go into a unique lime green also.The rough occurs in veins and also produces some awesome nuggets and nodules. Allmost impossible to find any rough or cabs from this mine...This stone comes from Part of my old stash and mine production.
This stone is cut from old material from this deposit. I cut the stone and then back it also. Which is how we cut stone in the southwest fot the very huge volume of turquoise that we use.This is the standard method for this industry. I cut turquoise for my jewelry designs as well as for the large manufacturers. I have been cutting turquoise for 35 years now and cut turquoise to last in jewelry.My jewelry that has my stones in in lasts a life time.
