Parker 45 fountain pen retailer (restored) - Green gold-filled cap 14K X nib

This is a Parker 45 fountain pen, in Green, with a gold-filled cap, and a 14K X nib. The pen was cleaned and polished.

This is a Parker 45 fountain pen, in Green, with a gold-filled cap. This is the first 45 I've seen that has a complete gold-filled cap. Every other pen I've had was a lustraloy with a gold-filled clip. Add the dark green barrel, and this is a really sharp looking pen. It has typical minor signs of age and use, and you'll note the tiny initials "JN" embossed in the barrel. They're pretty unobtrusive. The nib is a 14K gold X nib; it's a smooth feeling extra fine nib. This one feels pretty gentle compared retailer to other XF needles. I think the next owner will enjoy it. The pen comes in the original box, which is in good shape, but does have some aging on the pen tray insert. This one makes a nice addition to someone's collection, as well as a fun daily use pen.
