Vintage College Sorority Beanie Cap retailer Badge Pennant Pi Kappa Sigma Twenties Thirties Forties Greek National US
Pi Kappa Sigma (ΠΚΣ) was a national collegiate sorority operating.
Pi Kappa Sigma (ΠΚΣ) was a national collegiate sorority operating retailer in the United States from November 17, 1894 until it was absorbed by Sigma Kappa in 1959. "Pi Kap" was the first pedagogical sorority. Three great pieces from this piece of American collegiate history. Estimated age 1930's - 1940's, could be earlier. First is a thick chenille badge size is 7 3/4" x 5 5/8", oval shape - has both the symbols and the words within the letters. Next is a beanie cap, feels like wool felt, made in Newington CT by John E Boyle (Co.), fairly small in size. Condition good, no holes and some very light spots (see close-up). Last a small pennant, 14" long including fringe. No holes but also light marks and there is pen writing on the back. Neat historical group.
